The trees are very well executed and I like how you've made them go into the distance.
Since you requested advanced critique I would like to mention the clearing in the centre of the painting (the yellow part). It is slightly undefined compared to the rest of the trees and foliage. I realise that it is supposed to be really high up but the darker parts of the painting, for me, draw my attention away from the journey of the blimps. I feel that even though the way you have created the depth is successful, you need a little bit more definition. At the moment the light seems to be extremely bright and is therefore creating this area in the picture that has no defined elements in which to look at. I think maybe a blimp needs to be darkened slightly. Hope that makes sense, I will elaborate more if you need.
Other than this, the picture has heaps of atmosphere and looks like a very believable fantasy world. I can't stop looking at all the trees and foreground details.

I actually attempted to make the blimps/trees in the distance darker by making them cast shadows through the mist, kind of like the negative of a sun ray, but I could never get it too look right. I'll give it another shot because I see what your saying.
Oh yes, I undestand what you mean. The negative sun ray would be hard to paint I think, but it's a very good idea. I will have to remember to come back to see how it goes.
